Since last week a LOT has happened. Bill and I had a great date night at All'onda then Mo and I hopped the train the next day to visit Tia Teresa and Uncle Chris. Everything with the house moved very quickly and by Sunday night we had an accepted offer! And they threw in the pool table! Our Realtor, Kitty, is on the ball and very into keeping things moving so we had the home inspection this past Thursday and are going back with minor things by tomorrow. It's looking like it's really going to happen, but again, until the keys are in our hand anything can happen.

| Having some maitais (Mango got the virgin version- still a BIG treat since we don't usually let her drink juice) to celebrate an accepted offer! |

| Hanging with her Tia T! |
The sellers are lovely people, we met them at the tail end of the inspection. Right off the bat they offered us the wicker furniture that's in their sun room, the pool furniture and toys and the deck furniture. They also seemed open to selling us some furniture too- and the good thing is I like their design taste.

| My partner in (fashion) crime |

| She's also recently discovered cashews and loves them. Just wait til we introduce her to cashew butter and cashew chicken! |
 |
| Mo's Chinese New Year outfit for the party at school. She apparently loved the dragon and the lion dancers |
 |
| Daddy's girl. Enough said |
Last night was Melissa's birthday party and it was great hanging with everyone, and seeing my Mom friends sans kiddos. We also had a VERY successful first hired non-family member babysitter, a really great girl named Laura. She and Mo immediately took to each other and even as we were leaving there was no screaming at all, instead Mo blew us kisses as if we went out every night. Laura texted me throughout the night to keep me posted too. So yay!
This week we just have some things to follow up on with the home inspector, getting some riders put into our contracts with the lawyer, fun things like that. Things are also going really well at work. I was nominated to join a think-tank called
mediaBrandsMatter, within my holding company (IPG MediaBrands) that activates on the idea of corporate social responsibility by making media dollars go further through donations. I'm really excited to be at the initiation stage of something like this and it should only help my career down the line too.
Next weekend we have a take-out date with
Mission Chinese, JJ's 2nd birthday party next Saturday out in Queens and then the Gaslight Anthem show at Terminal 5 that night. Right now we're working with an April 30th closing date which our realtor says will be here before we know it and let me tell you, I really do hope so. I'm so sick of this snow and cold.
